Zlatni Rat beach and Stina Winery

The islands of Dalmatia are meant to be explored from the seaside. The magnificent views from the sea and the feeling of freedom that you get from having your own boat and skipper for a day is a luxury and an experience that will no doubt leave a lasting, beautiful imprint.

The destination for this day trip is the island of Brac. Your senses are to be enthused by the exquisite nature, wine, food and ancient history of the island. Our local skipper will pick you up in Stomorska at 9.00 and sail you to the island of Brac. On the way, the skipper will make sure to find you the perfect spot for a swim in an idyllic and secluded bay.

Your first stop is Zlatni Rat beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Croatian coastline. It has been created by deposits of fine pebbles of sediment around the underwater reef, spreading up to 500 metres into the sea. The very tip of Zlatni Rat keeps changing its shape constantly due to the influence of winds, waves and sea currents, making it appear different and repeatedly interesting. This location is a protected natural area and a favourite spot for surfers and kite-surfers from around the globe.

After a swim at the beach, we will continue to the small town called Bol, the oldest town on the island.

Here you will get to visit Stina Winery, located at the very seafront, right at the Riva, Bol's boardwalk. It's housed in a historical building, as the inscription at the front of the building still shows: “The first Dalmatian Wine Cooperative”. The wine cooperative was established in 1901, and this building was built in 1903. The interesting fact is that the ground floor featured wine making facilities, while the first floor housed an elementary school.

Stina owns 70 hectares of vineyards on the island of Brač where it grows mostly indigenous Dalmatian sorts: Plavac Mali, Crljenak, Pošip and Vugava.

The love for winemaking and wine growing, supported by superior technology and knowledge, has placed Stina as a premium brand of Croatian winemaking, winning several awards in both domestic and foreign markets.

After an exclusive wine tasting at Stina, it’s about time for lunch and wander the streets of Bol and soak up the local atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the boat will sail you back to Solta, arriving in Stomorska around 17.00, just in time for a drink and snacks at the terrace.
